China Real Estate Research Institute: From January to May, the total amount of land acquired by the top 100 real estate companies increased by 28.8% compared to the same period last year.

According to the China Index Research Institute, from January to May 2025, the total amount of land acquired by the top 100 real estate companies was 405.19 billion yuan, an increase of 28.8% year-on-year, and an increase of 2.2 percentage points from the previous month. Due to the low base effect of the previous year, the year-on-year growth in land acquisition by the top 100 real estate companies has expanded compared to the previous month. State-owned enterprises still dominate land acquisitions, with 8 out of the top ten companies in terms of land acquisition amount being state-owned enterprises.
