According to the relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Transport, in the first four months, the total number of highway passenger flows in China was 20.96 billion, and the waterway passenger transportation volume was 76.55 million. In terms of urban passenger transportation, in the first four months, the total number of urban passenger transportation in China was 34.17 billion. Among them, the passenger transportation volume of urban rail transit was 10.58 billion, the passenger transportation volume of urban ferry was 24.31 million, and the passenger transportation volume of public buses and taxis was 12.24 billion and 11.32 billion respectively. In terms of commercial freight transportation, China completed 18.09 billion tons of commercial freight transportation in the first four months. Among them, the completed highway freight transportation volume was 13.24 billion tons, and the completed waterway freight transportation volume was 3.17 billion tons. In terms of fixed asset investment in transportation, China completed a total of 950.3 billion yuan in fixed asset investment in transportation in the first four months, including 653.4 billion yuan in highway and 68.4 billion yuan in water transport.
