Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Fujian coastal water transportation is expected to transport 427,000 passengers.

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Fujian's coastal areas will see a peak in water transportation passenger flow. According to the Fujian Maritime Bureau, during the 3-day holiday period, 150 passenger ships will be put into operation along the coast of Fujian, carrying 427,000 passengers, an increase of about 4.9% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the four "small three links" passenger routes are expected to carry more than 17,000 passengers. The Xiamen-Gulangyu ferry and Meizhou Island ferry, two major passenger routes, will continue to operate with high passenger volumes. The Fujian Maritime Bureau will focus on extreme weather changes, large passenger flows on water, and maritime folk activities, and implement a specialized work mechanism with dedicated personnel and teams, emphasizing on-site supervision and highlighting risk prevention. The Fujian Maritime Bureau has deployed 3 professional rescue ships, 3 professional rescue helicopters, 50 maritime patrol boats, 99 emergency tugboats, and 34 maritime search and rescue volunteer teams to respond promptly in case of emergencies, ensuring timely and effective handling of any incidents.
