Major indicators in the transportation industry such as freight volume, port cargo throughput, and passenger flow maintained stable growth, and overall transportation investment remained stable. In April, the commercial freight volume reached 5.03 billion tons, an increase of 4.3% year-on-year. Of this, road freight volume reached 3.75 billion tons, an increase of 4.1% year-on-year; waterway freight volume reached 0.86 billion tons, an increase of 4.9% year-on-year. From January to April, the commercial freight volume reached 18.09 billion tons, an increase of 4.7% year-on-year. Of this, road freight volume reached 13.24 billion tons, an increase of 5.0% year-on-year; waterway freight volume reached 3.17 billion tons, an increase of 4.9% year-on-year.
