Shanghai: Over 370 companies in Shanghai will have a total dividend payout of nearly 39 billion yuan by 2024.
The Shanghai municipal government held a press conference, during which Zhao Guofu, deputy director of the Shanghai Securities Regulatory Bureau, stated that since the release of the "Eight Regulations for the Sci-Tech Innovation Board," nearly 200 companies have announced plans to repurchase shares and increase holdings, with a total amount of nearly 18 billion yuan; more than 370 companies have introduced dividend plans for 2024, with a total dividend of nearly 39 billion yuan. The government will continue to strengthen the protection of investor rights, hold both Sci-Tech Innovation Board companies and their actual controllers accountable for illegal activities leading to delisting, establish mechanisms to resolve disputes through various channels with judicial authorities, collaborate with arbitration institutions to conduct securities arbitration pilot projects, and improve the quality of investor services through multiple channels. In the next steps, we will continue to implement the "Eight Regulations for the Sci-Tech Innovation Board," further leverage the role of the Sci-Tech Innovation Board as an "experimental field," continuously deepen comprehensive reforms in the capital market for investment and financing, and better support the development of technological innovation and new productive forces.
