He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, consolidate and expand the achievements in poverty alleviation without any relaxation, smoothly and orderly transition to normalized assistance, and firmly guard against falling back into poverty in a large scale. Liu Guozhong stressed that this year is the last year of the transition period, and efforts should be made to strengthen responsibility and implementation in consolidating and expanding the achievements in poverty alleviation. It is necessary to optimize the monitoring and assistance system, focus on stabilizing employment for the poor labor force, promote the quality and efficiency of assistance industries in a classified manner, and improve the long-term management mechanism of assistance project assets. Efforts should be made to deepen cooperation between the eastern and western regions and targeted assistance, mobilize social forces to participate fully, strengthen the use of assessment results, conduct comprehensive self-examination, strictly check acceptance, and promote problem rectification in place.
