Swiss village destroyed by large-scale glacier collapse

On the 28th, a large-scale glacier collapse occurred in part of the Alps located in Switzerland, resulting in one person missing and approximately 90% of a local village being buried. The main roads were closed as a result. According to local officials, geologists had previously predicted the risk of glacier collapses in the area, so approximately 300 residents of the village were evacuated in advance.
