Tesla investors wrote a letter to the chairman of the Tesla board on Wednesday, stating that Elon Musk needs to spend more time on Tesla. They wrote in the letter, "The volatility of Tesla's stock price, declining sales, and the sharp decline in global reputation are all serious concerns. In addition, many issues are related to Musk's high-profile role as the architect of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in addition to his roles as Tesla's technology king and CEO." They believe that Tesla is facing a "crisis" in part due to Musk's "absence" and the board seeming "unwilling to act in the best interests of all Tesla shareholders." The investors are asking the Tesla board to require Musk to work at least 40 hours a week as a condition for any new compensation plan they may arrange for him.
