Motorola acquires radio manufacturer Silvus for $4.4 billion dollars.

Motorola Solutions announced that it will acquire wireless radio manufacturer Silvus Technologies for $4.4 billion. The deal is expected to be completed in the third or fourth quarter, pending regulatory approval. Under the agreement, the deal will provide approximately $4.38 billion in cash and around $20 million in restricted stock to certain employee shareholders.
