The booking volume of domestic and international flights during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday has increased compared to the same period last year.
In a few days, it will be the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, and ticket booking is currently at a peak. Data from online travel booking platforms show that domestic flight ticket bookings have increased by about 10% compared to last year, and international flight ticket bookings have increased by about 20%. According to data from Ctrip, as of May 27, domestic flight ticket bookings for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday have exceeded 2.93 million, with Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, and Kunming being more popular than last year, with a significant increase in passenger numbers; as temperatures gradually rise, cities in northwestern China such as Urumqi and Xi'an have become popular choices for the holiday. Due to the short duration of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, most travelers are opting for short to medium-haul trips, with a higher percentage choosing self-driving and high-speed rail travel, resulting in some flight ticket prices decreasing compared to the Labor Day holiday.
