In order to strengthen the guidance on handling criminal cases endangering the safety of production, and solve key and difficult problems in prosecuting cases, the Supreme People's Procuratorate recently released a batch of typical cases of crimes involving dangerous operations. According to reports, these typical cases cover three types of work situations that violate safety management regulations as stipulated in Article 134 of the Criminal Law, covering 4 high-risk industries including offshore operations, metal smelting, light industry manufacturing, and the most common operations involving the storage, transportation, and handling of hazardous chemicals. These typical cases not only focus on refining the criteria for determining the reality, urgency, and seriousness of the danger, accurately identifying "real danger", but also highlight the good practices of procuratorial organs in handling such cases.
