Uganda indefinitely suspends military cooperation with Germany in response to the behavior of the German ambassador to Uganda.

On the 25th, the Ugandan military announced that all defense and military cooperation with Germany has been suspended due to allegations that German Ambassador to Uganda, Matthias Schauer, was involved in subversive activities in Uganda. Ugandan military spokesperson Chris Magezi stated in a declaration that intelligence indicates Schauer has connections to anti-government political and military forces, and his actions endanger national security in Uganda. The cooperation will remain suspended until the issue is fully resolved.
