Former Tesla executive calls out Musk: Optimus robot is not suitable for working in factories
Tesla CEO Elon Musk claims that the Optimus robot can work on a large scale in factories. However, former head of Tesla's robot team, Chris Valti, said in an interview that humanoid robots like Optimus are not suitable for factory work. Valti explained that although humanoid robots are a fascinating technology with huge potential, their efficiency in warehouses, logistics, and manufacturing industries would be lower. Musk stated in an interview that Tesla expects to have thousands of Optimus robots in operation at its factories by the end of this year, and believes that the company will produce 1 million robots per year by 2030.
