"Island of the Future" and "Global Engine of Change" was held by the African Union to commemorate "Africa Day."
On May 25th, local time, the African Union held a commemorative event for "Africa Day" in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. The chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, stated in his speech that Africa will not be held hostage by past pain, but will move towards the future with more confidence. He also emphasized that the African continent and its diaspora have the right to demand historical truth, judicial justice, and fair compensation. Moussa Faki pointed out that Africa has many strategic resource advantages, including a young and rapidly growing population, vast arable land, rich mineral resources, and renewable energy potential. He stated that by 2050, the African population is expected to exceed 2.5 billion, and this continent is not only the "continent of the future" but also the "engine of global transformation."
