The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, attended the launch ceremony of "Buy in China2025 Greater Bay Area Consumption Season" and delivered a speech today. She stated that Hong Kong will make good use of its advantageous geographical location and first-class transportation and logistics infrastructure to develop Hong Kong into a cross-border e-commerce logistics distribution center in the region. At the same time, the scope of funding for the E-Commerce Easy Program under the "BUD Special Fund" will be expanded to cover more areas. Through events such as the "Hong Kong Good Goods Festival" organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the implementation of new "E-commerce Fast Lane" services, efforts will be made to enhance the exposure and competitiveness of Hong Kong brands in overseas markets, and assist businesses in expanding their e-commerce operations. Carrie Lam stated that in the future, the Hong Kong SAR government will continue to accelerate industrial digital transformation, strengthen digital infrastructure construction, research on promoting the data trading ecosystem, and explore convenient arrangements for cross-border data flow in the Greater Bay Area as a pilot program, in order to promote the integration of digital economy and real economy.
