The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office said on the 23rd that Turkish police detained 56 active-duty soldiers in a single operation that day, who are suspected of being linked to the 2016 failed coup. The office's statement on that day stated that arrest warrants had been issued for 63 soldiers suspected of being associated with the Gulen movement. The Turkish police carried out operations in 36 provinces that day, detaining 56 active-duty soldiers, while the arrest operation for the remaining suspects is still ongoing.
