The SCO demonstration zone held a cultural, tourism, economic and trade promotion event in Nepal.

The China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone held a tourism and trade promotion conference in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, on the 23rd to promote deeper cooperation with Nepal. The promotion conference was organized by the SCO Demonstration Zone Management Committee. Li Gang, the Executive Vice Director of the Management Committee, said in his speech at the conference that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal. He hoped that this event would serve as an opportunity to deepen cooperation with Nepal in areas such as multimodal transportation, and cultural and tourism exchange. Business and tourism professionals from China and Nepal shared their views on further cooperation at the conference. During the promotion conference, the two sides also signed two cooperation agreements to further expand practical cooperation in areas such as tea trade and cultural tourism exchange.
