On May 23rd, local time, President Trump of the United States said at the White House that South Korean company Samsung Electronics and other mobile phone manufacturers will also face tariffs. Earlier that day, he had stated on social media that Apple phones manufactured outside the US and sold in the US should face at least a 25% tariff. Trump also said that the related policy is expected to be implemented starting at the end of June.
