SAIC Group's internal integration action has extended to its subsidiary component system. SAIC is integrating its component enterprises into two major entities according to the "upper body" and "lower body" divisions, with Yanfeng mainly focusing on the "upper body" and a new chassis company in formation for the "lower body". From what we understand, the specific form of integration has not been completely determined yet, but it is clear that the integration action will revolve around synergies between the different components. A source close to SAIC informed us that the scope of the "upper body" includes the body, interior and exterior styling, and intelligent cockpit, and while the integration may not necessarily take the form of organizational mergers, there will definitely be closer collaboration in project communication, surpassing typical supplier relationships. An employee of Yanfeng also mentioned, "the components will cooperate as a whole," and projects planned last year are already progressing in this direction. As for the "lower body," we understand that the new chassis company will be formed through the integration of companies such as Shanghai Huizhong, Lianchuang Automotive Electronics and its subsidiaries Chuangshi Zhijia, and Qingdu Technology.
