Around 9 a.m. on May 21st, a fire broke out in a charging station at No. 89 Yaohua Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, and a new energy vehicle caught fire and was destroyed. Videos posted by multiple netizens show that the burning car had the logo of Hoist. Two employees at the charging station told reporters that the car had been fully charged for some time when the fire occurred, and relevant departments are currently investigating the cause of the fire. The customer service phone number left on the Hoist official website is no longer reachable, and several staff members at various outlets said that the brand has already "closed down". One outlet employee mentioned that if a car catches fire, they can assist with the assessment for a fee. According to Xinmin Evening News, after receiving the alarm, the police and fire department quickly rushed to the scene for disposal, and the fire did not cause any casualties.
