Softbank has entrusted the leading banks of Mizuho, Sumitomo Mitsui, and JPMorgan Chase with a $15 billion loan.

SoftBank Group has obtained a one-year, $15 billion transitional loan from 21 banks to provide financial support for its investments in the field of artificial intelligence. This loan will assist SoftBank in implementing its long-term plans that will impact the development and direction of artificial intelligence, including the $6.5 billion acquisition of chip design company Arm Limited and up to $30 billion investment in OpenAI. The loan was signed on April 10th, with participating banks including Mizuho Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, J.P. Morgan, and 18 other banks.
