Guangxi enters the "dragon boat water" period of concentrated rainfall. From May 22nd to May 24th, there will be heavy to torrential rain.

It is expected that during the "Dragon Boat Festival" in 2025, Guangxi will experience four large-scale heavy rainfall events, from May 22nd to 24th, May 28th to 30th, June 5th to 10th, and mid-June. The accumulated rainfall will be 300 to 600 millimeters in the western coastal areas and most of the northern Guangxi, and 150 to 300 millimeters in other areas. There is a high possibility of continuous and regional heavy rain in the northern Guangxi and coastal areas. The heavy rainfall from the 22nd to 24th will overlap with earlier periods, and cities like Guilin, Liuzhou, Hechi, Hezhou, Baise, Laibin, Wuzhou, Chongzuo, and Nanning will have a high risk of heavy rain disasters. It is suggested to strengthen prevention against flooding, small and medium-sized river floods, mountain floods, landslides, debris flows, and other secondary disasters caused by heavy rainfall, and to monitor, inspect, and eliminate hidden dangers and vulnerable areas of disasters, as well as to enhance safety management in urban operations, transportation, and agricultural production.
