Shanghai: Accelerate the construction of a green methanol independent economic full industry chain.

The Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission has replied to proposal No. 0501 of the 14th session of the Shanghai Political Consultative Conference, stating that Shanghai will accelerate the construction of a green methanol independent economic full industry chain in the future. First, efforts will be made to increase research and development in technology to provide technical support for high-yield, low-carbon biomass fuel planting, continue to tackle difficulties, and cultivate crops that can provide green methanol raw materials as well as salt-alkali resistant crops. Second, planning coordination and promotion work for biofuel planting bases will be carried out. According to the requirements of the specialized planning of the Hengsha New Zhou Modern Agriculture Industrial Park, while ensuring not occupying agricultural land and safeguarding agricultural production capacity, the planting and utilization of crops such as reeds and bamboo will be continuously monitored in unused land pilot projects by Nongtou Group. Third, relevant policies will be continuously improved. Research will be conducted on increasing support and guidance for the green methanol industry to promote high-quality development of the industry.
