According to the Chinese financial news app, on May 21st, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. Shen Xiang, Director of the Department of West Asian and African Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce, mentioned that in recent years, African countries have steadily developed their economies, the overall business environment has continued to improve, and Chinese companies' investment intentions in Africa have significantly strengthened. According to our statistics, in the past five years, Chinese direct investment in Africa has remained above $3 billion annually, with investment projects covering a wide range of fields including infrastructure, agriculture, processing and manufacturing, finance, digital economy, and trade services. At the same time, the subjects of Chinese investment in Africa have become more diverse, with private enterprises becoming a strong force in investment cooperation with Africa, accounting for more than 70% of the total number of Chinese investment enterprises in Africa.
