Seven departments issued the "Action Plan for Protecting and Building Beautiful Rivers and Lakes"

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment and six other departments recently issued the "Action Plan for the Protection and Construction of Beautiful Rivers and Lakes", which proposes that by 2027, the completion rate of beautiful rivers and lakes should reach around 40%; by 2030, significant progress should be made in the construction of beautiful rivers and lakes; and by 2035, beautiful rivers and lakes should be basically completed. The central government actively supports the protection and construction of beautiful rivers and lakes. It encourages local finance and social capital to increase investment and continuously strengthen funding guarantee. It advocates for models such as government purchase of services, third-party governance of environmental pollution, and development guided by ecological and environmental objectives to guide active participation of social capital in the protection and construction of beautiful rivers and lakes.
