According to the Financial Times, citing four sources familiar with the discussions, the Trump administration is considering an executive order that would instruct the Treasury Department and the US Securities and Exchange Commission to study the feasibility of allowing private equity groups to participate in 401k plans. The report stated that no decisions have been made yet, and any action could be very far off. The White House declined to comment, and the US Treasury Department did not respond to requests for comment.
