Financial news app Zhtng Cijng learned that early trade data from South Korea shows that the country's exports have once again declined this month, especially in exports to the United States. Negotiations between Seoul and Washington regarding the US tariffs on South Korean exports are still ongoing. Data released by South Korean customs on Wednesday shows that exports in the first 20 days of May have decreased by 2.4% compared to the same period last year. In comparison, the initially reported export decline after adjusting for the difference in working days in April was 0.7%. Overall imports have decreased by 2.5%, resulting in a trade deficit of 300 million US dollars.
