On May 19, the Director of the National Energy Administration, Wang Hongzhi, met with the visiting Director of the Singapore Energy Market Authority, Pan Guoqiang, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on advancing China-Singapore energy cooperation. Wang Hongzhi stated that energy is an important area of practical cooperation between China and Singapore, and the two countries have maintained close communication on various bilateral and multilateral platforms. Chinese and Singaporean companies have mutually invested in each other and have engaged in extensive cooperation in electricity, oil and gas, energy storage, and renewable energy. The future cooperation space is huge and the prospects are very broad. The Chinese National Energy Administration is willing to work together with Singapore to further enhance the existing cooperation mechanisms, strengthen dialogue and communication, and jointly advance China-Singapore energy cooperation to a new level.
