On May 20th, the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Statistics released the main economic indicators of Sichuan Province from January to April 2025. The data shows that from January to April, the added value of industrial enterprises above a designated size in the province increased by 7.1% year-on-year, with a growth rate 0.7 percentage points higher than the national average; the province's total retail sales of consumer goods reached 928.59 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%, with a growth rate 0.6 percentage points higher than the national average. In terms of industry growth, out of 41 major industries, 35 sectors saw an increase in value added. Among them, the added value of automobile manufacturing increased by 22.3% year-on-year, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 20.0% year-on-year, computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing increased by 15.0% year-on-year, black metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 14.9% year-on-year, and electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing increased by 10.6% year-on-year.
