The Sudanese armed forces have announced full control of Khartoum State.

On May 20 local time, Sudanese Armed Forces spokesman Nabil Abdullah issued a statement saying that the Sudanese Armed Forces have fully taken control of Khartoum state, where the capital Khartoum is located. The statement said that the Sudanese Armed Forces have eliminated all armed elements of the Rapid Support Forces from Khartoum state, and this region is now "completely free from the control of the Rapid Support Forces."
