International Labour Organization: One quarter of jobs worldwide may be affected by generative artificial intelligence.
On the 20th, the International Labor Organization released a report on the impact of generative artificial intelligence on employment, stating that a quarter of global job positions may be affected by generative artificial intelligence. The report indicated that in high-income countries, the proportion of job positions affected by generative artificial intelligence is even higher, reaching 34%. Due to the ability of generative artificial intelligence to automate a variety of tasks, administrative jobs are at the most significant risk. These positions have been a pathway for increasing women's employment in developing countries, making female employment more vulnerable to the impact of generative artificial intelligence. The report stated that as the capabilities of generative artificial intelligence continue to expand, highly digitized job positions such as media, software development, and finance also face increasing risks.
