Reporters learned from Tuniu that the company predicts that more platform users will choose local travel or nearby travel during this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday. As of now, the proportion of booked trips accounts for 47%. Domestic long-distance travel also remains popular, with the proportion of booked trips reaching 31% so far. Tuniu's data shows that self-driving tours and high-speed rail tours are the top choices for users in nearby travel, with more than 80% of booked trips. Among the popular destinations for self-driving tours are Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Tianjin, Qingdao, Hangzhou, Chengdu, and Changzhou. The demand for "cross-region travel" in the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is particularly strong. This year, the Dragon Boat Festival holiday coincides with Children's Day on June 1st, leading to a concentrated release of demand for parent-child trips. (Xinhua Finance)
