In the afternoon, ground temperatures in high-temperature areas generally exceeded 50C, with some sites in Shanxi, Henan, and Ningxia reaching over 70C. In particular, Yangcheng in Shanxi broke the record for the highest ground temperature in local observation history, while Mengzhou, Qixian, Yongji, Wanrong, and Linyi in Henan also broke the record for the highest ground temperature in May in their respective areas.
