On May 19, the National Development and Reform Commission announced that, based on recent international oil price changes, according to the current mechanism for determining refined oil prices, starting from 24:00 on May 19, the domestic prices of gasoline and diesel will be reduced by 230 yuan and 220 yuan per ton, respectively. According to the notice from the Beijing Development and Reform Commission, the equivalent price per liter in Beijing will be adjusted from 7.10 yuan to 6.91 yuan for 92 octane gasoline, a decrease of 0.19 yuan; from 7.56 yuan to 7.36 yuan for 95 octane gasoline, a decrease of 0.20 yuan; and from 6.78 yuan to 6.59 yuan for 0 diesel, a decrease of 0.19 yuan. Calculated for a regular private car with a fuel tank capacity of 50 liters, after this price adjustment, the owner will spend 9.5 yuan less when filling up with a tank of 92 octane gasoline.
