In the May 18th issue of the "Power On" newsletter, reporter Mark Gurman revealed that Apple is currently earning $20 billion per year from the App Store. Developers can avoid the hassle of setting up payment systems, managing accounts, and handling refunds, as well as enjoy features such as promotion and family sharing. However, the cost is a commission: small developers making less than $1 million a year have to pay 15%, while large developers have to pay 30%.
