Ukrainian defense minister meets with officials from Raytheon Company

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustam Umurov said after meeting with a delegation from Raytheon that expanding cooperation between the United States and the Ukrainian defense industry is a strategic priority for Kyiv. Raytheon is a leading global weapons manufacturer that produces the Patriot air defense missile system, which Ukraine currently needs to intercept Russian ballistic missiles. Umurov said in a Facebook post, "We discussed Ukraine's urgent need for additional missile systems. This is a national priority - to protect our people, critical infrastructure, cities, and villages." Umurov noted that Ukrainian defense enterprises are open to cooperation with American manufacturers to accelerate and improve weapon maintenance.
