According to a report by the Omaha World-Herald, Warren Buffett will not attend the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting in 2026, as he hopes to give the spotlight to his successor, Abel, after his retirement. The Wall Street Journal reported that Buffett plans to sit with other board members. Two weeks ago, the 94-year-old Buffett announced at the end of this year's shareholder meeting that he would step down as CEO of the company he founded, but will remain as chairman of the board. The Omaha World-Herald quoted Buffett's daughter, Susie, as saying that Buffett's commitment to the company is "unwavering." He has committed not to sell his Berkshire stock after his death and will donate it all to charity trusts.
