Multiple Chinese car companies have formed a fleet of ocean freighters.
From January to April this year, China exported 1.937 million vehicles, an increase of 6% year-on-year. Behind this impressive data is an important reason - in recent years, many Chinese domestic car brands have increased their efforts to expand into overseas markets. In the logistics chain for car exports, car transport ships play a crucial role. Many Chinese car companies have established their own fleets of ocean-going transport ships, allowing them to control their own transportation capacity, reducing costs and ensuring supply chain stability. On May 15th, at the Shanghai Haitong International Automobile Terminal, a 9,500-vehicle roll-on/roll-off ship built by SAIC Group was officially delivered and made its first voyage to Europe. This roll-on/roll-off ship, named "Anji Ansheng", is currently one of the largest car transport ships in terms of capacity.
