Chongqing releases guidelines for the construction and design of rural houses.

On May 15, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued a notice stating that in order to strengthen the construction of rural houses and guide the quality and safety of rural houses, Chongqing Municipality has recently introduced the first "Chongqing Municipal Guidelines for the Construction and Design of Rural Houses" to guide the design and construction of rural houses in the city. The guidelines emphasize that the design of rural houses should follow the overall principles of "suitability to local conditions, safety, energy efficiency, environmental protection, and affordability." It encourages the use of new materials and techniques, inheritance of local architectural characteristics, improvement of living environments, and meeting the needs for disaster prevention, reduction, seismic design, and other requirements.
