The world's first 5G-A open-pit mining project landed in Inner Mongolia, implementing large-scale coordination between "vehicles-cloud-network".
Reporters learned that the world's first fleet of 100 unmanned electric mining trucks, "Huaneng Ruichi", has officially started operation at the Yimin open-pit mine in Inner Mongolia. This marks the first open-pit mine in the world to achieve large-scale coordination of "vehicle-cloud-network" under a 5G-A network. It is understood that the project was jointly created by China Huaneng, XCMG Group, Huawei, State Grid Smart Car Network Co., Ltd., and others. To achieve vehicle-cloud coordination, the Yimin mining area has deployed a 5G-A network, making it the world's first 5G-A open-pit mine. It can provide 500Mbps for large uplink and 20 milliseconds for low latency, and will support over 300 unmanned mining trucks to achieve uninterrupted production 24 hours a day.
