The "airborne aircraft carrier" known as the Nine Sky drone is about to make its maiden flight.

At the 15th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, the "Jiutian" multi-purpose drone made its debut and attracted attention for the first time. It is expected to complete its maiden flight mission by the end of June this year. The wingspan of the Jiutian drone is 25 meters, with a maximum takeoff weight of 16 tons, maximum payload of 6 tons, maximum range of 7000 kilometers, and a flight endurance of over 12 hours. Another highlight of the Jiutian drone is the integration of a mysterious "heterogeneous honeycomb mission bay" inside the fuselage. This mission bay can accommodate hundreds of cruise missiles or small drones, giving the Jiutian drone the nickname of "aerial drone aircraft carrier."
