According to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, this week, terminal coal consumption remained at a low season level, with coal prices continuing to decline. However, as high temperatures spread, export expectations improved, sparking a slight replenishment sentiment downstream. Market ship booking activity increased, and the comprehensive index narrowed its decline. On May 16, the China Coastal Comprehensive Freight Index published by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange closed at 1002.53 points, down 1.6% from the previous period.
