Peaceful earthquake disaster model officially launched achieves accurate risk assessment

Ping An Property Insurance held the "2025 Grassroots Emergency Capability Enhancement" event in Lanzhou on the 16th, officially releasing the Ping An Earthquake Catastrophe Model. This model is based on multi-source high-precision data and constructs four core modules including random event model, seismic motion field model, vulnerability model, and earthquake loss model. By combining supercomputing power, spatiotemporal big data platform, and a professional team of talents, it achieves scientific quantification and accurate assessment of earthquake risks. In addition, in dealing with natural disasters, Ping An Property Insurance's self-developed "Eagle Eye System" has accurately identified, warned, and managed risks of multiple disaster types, building digital risk maps for over 10 kinds of disasters including earthquakes, and providing precise warnings for nearly 20 types of disasters. In 2024, Ping An Property Insurance issued a total of 411,000 warnings for disasters such as typhoons and heavy rain through notifications on apps like Ping An Enterprise Treasure, SMS reminders, AI calls, totaling 10.55 billion times. It also provided on-site services offline more than 200,000 times, covering a total of 67.34 million individuals and corporate customers.
