Beijing city will issue an additional 20,000 new energy vehicle permits for families without cars.

According to the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, in order to better meet the car needs of car-free households, Beijing has issued an additional 20,000 new energy vehicle quotas on top of the 40,000 new energy vehicle quotas. The list of selected households was announced on May 26. It is reported that by 2025, there will be a total of 160,000 car quotas, with an annual quota of 100,000 and an additional 60,000 new energy vehicle quotas. The additional quotas are all allocated to car-free households applying for new energy vehicle quotas.
