Today, the Ministry of Natural Resources announced the newly revised "City Planning Health Assessment Regulations for National Land Spatial Planning", which includes a series of new requirements for city planning health assessment. The new version of the regulations includes 110 indicators, with more emphasis on the actual feelings of the people and placing greater importance on urban safety and resilience. The Ministry of Natural Resources stated that the revision of the "City Planning Health Assessment Regulations for National Land Spatial Planning" mainly reflects new requirements and new ideas in urban work and land spatial governance. New indicators such as "flood storage area overlapping with urban development boundaries" have been added to guide scientific urban layout and reduce disaster losses; "number of water sources" indicators have been added to promote multiple water sources for urban security and enhance the ability to respond to water source pollution accidents. In addition, monitoring and assessment have been specifically increased for the progress of old gas pipeline network reconstruction and the control of pipeline safety distances, as well as the spatial protection of parking spaces for electric bicycles, in order to reduce safety hazards from the source.
