Director Kang Yi of the National Bureau of Statistics met with a delegation from the National Geographic and Statistical Bureau of Brazil.

On May 14th, Kang Yi, the Director of the National Bureau of Statistics, met with the delegation from the Brazilian Ministry of Planning and Budget Coordination, including Secretary Joo Vieira and the Director of the National Institute of Geography and Statistics, Mrcio Pochmann in Beijing. Kang Yi welcomed the Brazilian delegation and expressed that currently, under the strategic leadership of the two countries' leaders, Sino-Brazilian relations have entered a "golden period" of development. Both countries' statistical agencies have actively built mechanisms, closely exchanged cooperation, shared ideas and methods, and achieved good results. The National Bureau of Statistics of China is willing to deepen exchanges and mutual learning with the National Institute of Geography and Statistics of Brazil, in order to address common challenges.
