The reporter learned from the State Post Bureau that the China Express Development Index in April increased by 6.5% compared to the same period last year. Express delivery companies actively serve modern agriculture and advanced manufacturing, enhancing industry synergy. According to data from the State Post Bureau, the China Express Development Index was 443.2 in April, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%. In April, the volume of express items such as Mingqian tea, vegetables, fruits, and flowers saw a significant increase. Express delivery companies also strengthened cooperation with manufacturing industry and e-commerce platforms to support the "trade-in" of consumer goods, meet the diverse delivery needs of consumers, and drive steady expansion of business scale. It is estimated that the daily average volume of express delivery business in April is around 550 million items, and during the Qingming Festival, a total of 1.399 billion packages were collected nationwide, an increase of 17% year-on-year. In addition, express delivery companies have deployed unmanned vehicles in Changsha, Yueyang, Wenzhou, Xiongan, Dunhuang, upgraded network equipment in Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, and other places, and empowered end-to-end quality improvement and cost reduction with sorting automation. Liu Jiang, Director of the Strategic Planning Research Department of the Development Research Center of the State Post Bureau, stated that express delivery companies continue to deepen their service connotation, explore new cross-border cooperation models, and promote steady improvement in service quality and efficiency. As various measures to stabilize the economy and stimulate consumption are accelerating implementation, the external environment continues to improve, and industry development momentum and growth potential will steadily strengthen.
