Yu Shu Technology's Wang Xingxing speaks out the latest.
On May 16th, at the closing ceremony of the World Digital Education Conference, Wang Xingxing, the founder of Yushu Technology, expressed that as an entrepreneur who draws strength from education and is committed to technological innovation, he deeply feels that as the wave of artificial intelligence approaches, education, which has inherited thousands of years of cultural heritage, is facing an unprecedented opportunity for transformation. In the process of AI empowering education, Wang Xingxing believes that two major challenges must be recognized: data privacy and ethical norms. Educational data is highly sensitive, which requires us to establish more perfect privacy and integrity protection mechanisms, and to strictly guard against the hidden impact of algorithm bias on educational fairness. The second challenge is the transformation and upgrading of the role of teachers. AI technology is by no means a replacement for teachers, but as a powerful empowering tool, it requires systematic assistance to help teachers transition from knowledge disseminators to learning leaders. It is suggested to develop essential skills manuals for AI in primary and secondary school and university teachers, develop training manuals, establish teacher intelligence research centers, and provide AI training for teachers and education administrators.
