Gansu Longnan initiates Level II emergency response to drought.

The meteorological station in Longnan City, Gansu Province, issued a meteorological drought orange risk warning at 9:32 today: Currently, in most areas of Li County, Xihe County, Dangchang County, Cheng County, Kang County, and Wudu District of Longnan City, the comprehensive meteorological drought index has reached severe levels, while in some areas of Wen County, Hui County, and Liangdang County, the comprehensive meteorological drought index has reached moderate levels. It is expected that in the next 7 days, there will be no significant precipitation in most parts of Longnan City, and the meteorological drought will continue or worsen, prompting the need to take relevant preventive measures. The Longnan City Meteorological Bureau has decided to enter into a level II emergency response. Previously, Longnan had issued an agricultural drought meteorological risk warning.
