The groundbreaking ceremony for the Croatia Kolarat Photovoltaic Project, built by North International Cooperation Co., Ltd. and Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Co., Ltd., was held in Kolarat on the 15th. Croatian Prime Minister Plenkovi, Chinese Ambassador to Croatia Qi Qianjin and others attended the ceremony. The Croatia Kolarat 99MW photovoltaic project is the largest photovoltaic project in Croatia to date. After completion, it is expected to provide 165 million kWh of green electricity annually, not only meeting the electricity needs of about 50,000 households in Croatia, but also reducing carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 150,000 tons annually, providing impetus for Croatia to promote energy transition and develop a green economy. The project is scheduled to be connected to the grid and generate electricity in April 2026.
